About the Role

As the New Business Development Lead focused on Major Donors and Corporates, your primary focus will be on securing funding from major donors and corporates to support Tiko's growth objectives. This includes emphasizing corporate social responsibility initiatives.
You will drive the development of existing and new funding opportunities, ensuring the organization reaches its ambitious goals.

The ideal candidate will have the remarkable ability to articulate the importance of our work, inspiring and engaging others while successfully converting opportunities into funding. Your deep passion for making a positive difference allows you to seamlessly balance big-picture, strategic thinking with effective operational implementation. Your keen eye for detail, combined with exceptional organizational skills guarantee that no task or opportunity goes unnoticed or unaddressed.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree required

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, business development, proposal management, and relationship management within the context of non-profit organisations.

  • Experience in international development or global health.

  • Proven track record in successfully securing a minimum of $1 million per year from a diversity of major donors and corporates, with a focus on corporate social responsibility.

  • Experience of building and managing effective relationships with high level individuals and/or organisations and securing major gifts.

  • A proven personal network with SRH donors.

  • Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.

  • Experience of meeting and exceeding financial targets and KPI’s

  • Willingness to travel internationally.

  • Currently based in Nairobi or London.
